DLC coating end mill for Aluminum, 3 flute carbide end mills,8mm carbide end mill,3 flute end mill
End mills are the most commonly used milling cutters on CNC machine tools. There are cutters on the cylindrical surface and end surface of the end mills. They can cut simultaneously or separately. Mainly used for plane milling, groove milling, step face milling and profile milling.
For milling Aluminum of which hardness is HRC 50 to 55 degree, carbide grade BT50 is applied as raw material(ground carbide rod), BT50 has below physical characters:
Grade | Co% | Grain Size | Density (g/cm) | Hardness(HRA) | TRS N/mm2 | Application |
BT50 | 10 | 0.6 | 14.45 | 92.3 | 4400 | For general drill bit, end mill machining titanium alloy, stainless steel and gray cast iron. |

End mill Diameter: Larger tools can remove material faster than smaller tools, so the largest possible tool suitable for the job is usually selected to get a high efficient performance. When milling internal contours or concave external contours, the diameter is limited by the size of the internal curve. The radius of the tool must be less than or equal to the radius of the smallest arc.
